Peter J. KashurGustav Klimpt was described as a "painter of beautiful women".

There is nothing as compelling as the female form, my muse of first choice. Women speak to the core of humanity and I try to use my ability to celebrate my belief.

Non-figurative, geometric paintings are "emblemizations" of the commonplace as defined by Duchamps and the Dadaists and contemporized representationally by artists such as Walter Murch, Vincent Desiderio, Antonio Lopez Garcia, etc.

I draw on my understanding of design and theory to invest my object paintings with the same intensity and character as my figurative paintings; describing visually the atmosphere, environment and history of a simple brick wall for instance, inviting a dialogue; the communication of ideas and experiences with someone who identifies on a personal level with the subject.

I was born in Fort William, Ontario. I work in watercolour, acrylic, traditional egg tempera and graphite. I have taught and lectured on theory and practice of traditional egg tempera and also advanced techniques using watercolour, including varnishing of watercolour.
